The TexasLegislative Council is a nonpartisan legislative agency that providesprofessional and technical service and support to the Texas Legislature and thelegislative agencies. Legislative Council redistricting records illustrate theassistance provided by the council's Research Division to the legislatureduring its redistricting process and include plans, maps, analyses, statistics,reports, proposals, correspondence, memorandums, notes, and lists, 1981-1982,1991-2006, bulk 2001-2006. The majority of the records document theredistricting cycle following the 2000 U.S. Census, though the 1990s cycle isalso represented, and to a lesser extent, the 1980s cycle.
